a little bird, the color of sunshine

this is a story of a little bird the color of sunshine
who wanted freedom to explore and fly outside
the world unknown. but little did he know he would
never find his way home. but fortune made him realize
that home is where the heart is and that would never evade him.

also, he made new friends.

the end :)

real love and enlightenment

Untitled

"Buddha once said that just as we can know the ocean because it always tastes of salt, we can recognize enlightenment because it always tastes of freedom. There's no essential difference between real love and enlightenment. While many people see commitment as a trap, its healthy versions actually free both lovers, bring out the flavor of their true selves, and build a love that is satisfying, lasting, and altogether delicious."

page somewhere near the end [found]

you left me to find yourself
you left me to find happiness lost somewhere
you left me to save me
you left me to be with someone else

however you paint it, disguise it, verbalize it

you left me

and i'm not done loving, i'm not done fighting, i'm not done writing.

"i would do anything for love"
for you, for us and then you ask me
to let you go and it forces me to
examine those words. Is that what that song
meant all along?
"i would do anything for love but I won't do that."

7 yrs ago today I wrote a love story that eventually signified my life.
all stories begin so it follows logic that they end. but i'm still alive and breathing and i never imagined i would have to live to see its death.

Sweet surrender give me strength to let go of something so beautiful.

You and I Both

a song that i heard on the radio for the first time and was immediately in love with. it spoke of you and i and words and chemistry and connecting and love. and then the song ends and so it seems with time so did our words, us, we and now i can relate to the entire song, not just the beginning. bittersweet.
